A completely redesigned and enhanced web site was launched to mark the 61st Independence Day by the Regional Economic Development Agency (REDA). With a totally fresh appearance and format, the new web site contains more investor-oriented expanded information for prospective and current investors, while also being more visually appealing. The new web site can be viewed at http://www.kandyinvestor.org
“The Internet is an integral part of REDA’s plan to communicate mission-related activities, timely information, and accomplishments to investors, advocacy groups, students, media, and the general public. This new web site makes it easy for anyone interested in the REDA to find information and answers to questions in a clear and user-friendly manner,” said Jayantha Rupasinghe, an Investment Promotion Specialist.
“In addition to extensive online information, it also serves as a showcase for REDA employees, whose work is featured in the Investment Promotion Section and whose stunning visuals are compiled in a picture gallery and used throughout the site.”
The REDA web site has also undergone significant improvement in the areas of content, navigation, and design. A menu located at the top of the home page provides general guidance to navigate the new site.
Notable content changes include the addition of user login facility, a searchable investment opportunities database, news and events, and extensive information on the company registration and application process.
The new design structure makes it easier for users to find web content. For example, the “Search” feature allows visitors to search the entire site using any word. A “Links” section provides direct links to key web pages, such as the REDA Land Bank (www.srilankalands.com), Webmasters' site(www.virusinc.org) and the REDA homepage (www.reda.org.lk).
Enhanced features make it easier to navigate major web site categories and to track recently visited areas. In addition, it is fully accessible by users with assistive technology devices, such as screen readers for the visually impaired.
